WILSON, WY

HARD wINTER

A remodel of this 3,500 square foot farmhouse transformed it into an updated home for a young family.

The addition of three new bump outs contributed 1,000 square feet to the original structure. The first area to benefit was an improved entry that welcomes the family with easy-access gear storage. The second bump out created space for a warm sunroom. The third expanded the garage that is topped by a new roof deck opening out from the upstairs Master suite.

Interior details include an eye-catching central stairway. Constructed of oak and black steel it features a floating handrail that elevates this functional element into a central feature. From the exterior, metal siding highlights new construction, updating the traditional home with contemporary touches.
